Product Detailed Information Product Brief Introduction: Currently, vehicle oil level sensors use slide potentiometer as basic detecting element. The oil level changing gives rise to the movement of the float, which in turn changes the moving contact’s position of the potentiometer. As the moving contact changed, the resistivity changed; thus realizing the purpose of oil level detecting. But in the daily using, when the potentiometer covered by oil dirt or receiving the vibration, the resistivity would suffer change, which results in big error, even the product out of service. Zhengzhou Howell Electronic Science and Technology Co., Ltd, based on the practical necessity of the majority customers, independently researched and developed a new oil level sensor product. The product detects the oil level changing in term of resistance voltage signal changing, which controlled by the make-and-break of the reed switch. Since the make-and-break of the reed switch is controlled by the magnetic signal of the ferrite magnet, which makes the product have the characteristics of high detecting precision, safe and reliable, anticorrosion, long service life, maintenance free and easy installation, the product has been a best substitute of the traditional oil level sensor. Operating Principle: Using magnetic field produced by the ferrite magnet controlling the make-and-break of the reed switch, turning the oil level change into electrical signal and linking the electrical signal output to the secondary instrument to detecting the oil level.
